A winter of discontent is gripping much of the Midwest.  Near Milwaukee, bitter and blustery conditions caused treacherous roads.

In northern Michigan snow resulted in a near white out.

In Fargo, North Dakota, temperatures dropped to 21 below zero, and along Lake Superior it was even colder.

The worst may not be over.  Forecasters say another blast of cold Canadian air is on the way for the Midwest.  So far it's been enough to freeze the Chicago River.

Forecasters say Thursday will likely be the coldest day this week, with temperatures rising in time for the weekend.

But will we see any of that here?

"Looks as though the really cold Arctic airmass will pass well away from us across the Ohio Valley and the Deep South (but) another front is due over the weekend," said Meteorologist Chris Whited.
