Abilene Tax Revenue Up 9%

 Tax revenue for Abilene is up 9.31 percent compared to last year; with an extra $757 thousand received from Austin.  Although revenue was up in 2008 compared to 2007, it has steadily dropped over the last three months.

Here is a snapshot of the revenue payments received through January and how big the increase is from 2007.
  • November (September sales)    16.85%
  • December (October sales)          9.71%
  • January (November sales)          5.41%
The revenue received next month will December sales. Last year, there was $2,932,831 in tax revenue from December 2007.
