A letter that was sent to thousands of people in 3 Big Country counties from the House of Yahweh has many people speaking out.
They are wondering how they got on the mailing list.
We did some checking into this and have talked to an ex-member of the House of Yahweh.
The letter, if you did not read it, goes into what they feel is the mistreatment of the House of Yehweh by the media, who the House of Yehweh is, and they also say the property they sit on is not a compound.
Even thought a representative with the House says the letter was sent out to people in three counties for them to better understand the them; a former member who we spoke to says the letter is full of lies and it was sent out for one reason and one reason only: to help Yisrayl Hawkins, who has an upcoming trial on bigamy charges.
The person we talked to left the the group four months ago.
He had been a member for about 14 years, since he was about 23.
He moved here from the upstate New York to be close to the House.
As to why you may have been on that mailing list; We called the House of Yahweh to asked them directly.
The person who answered the phone told us, "the people who got the letters have our phone number and they can call themselves to find out."
We had somebody who received the letter call to find out, and the person who answered told that person to call back in a couple of days and they would look into it.
