An ex-convict accused of killing his girlfriend and her four young children, who was apparently in Abilene on Tuesday, won't fight extradition to Oklahoma.

Deputies arrested 25-year-old Joshua Durcho after his car hit a guardrail and tree in Hamilton County, Texas.

The Abilene Taylor County Sheriff's Office teamed up with 15 officers from the U.S. Marshal's Office and the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation to catch up with Durcho.

U.S. Marshal, Chance Furgison, had received word from Taylor County Deputies on a possible location in Abilene of murder suspect, Joshua Durcho.

This was after Furgison had contacted DPS and TSCO that Durcho might be in the Abilene area.

During the investigation, Abilene D.P.S. Officers provided additional surveillance on other locations where Durcho was thought to be hiding.

According to Furgison, Durcho had several acquaintances in the Abilene area.

Durcho was later apprehended in Hamilton County. "He was very quiet. He declined to speak with the investigators who flew down here," said Hamilton County Sheriff Gregg Bewley. "He has offered us no resistant at the scene, at the emergency room or here at the jail or in transport. He's been cooperative." An affidavit revealed Durcho sent a text message to his mother from the Abilene area on Tuesday.

Durcho is charged with five counts of first-degree murder.

He's expected to be returned to Oklahoma this morning.
