UPDATE: Missing Newborn Dropped off at Fire Station

By: Laura Kellerman
Updated: January 15, 2009
After sending out an Amber Alert on a mission 6-week-old baby, a man dropped the baby off at a fire station in Houston.

Children Protective Services described the baby as being filthy with a soiled diaper but in fair condition.

His mother, Sonia Quintanilla is still missing.

Fort Bend County sheriff's deputies said Quintanilla, 30, of Needville, took her baby to the doctor on Monday at 9:30 a.m.  She failed to return home, and her family became concerned for the baby's safety because Quintanilla did not take food, clothing or diapers for the boy.
