Favorite Show Missing

In this week's "Dish it to Downing," a viewer wants to know why he can't see his favorite show anymore; and we get a compliment about KRBC TV.
It's one of the newest syndicated shows on TV, The Doctors, but Craig wants to know why it forced the cancellation of one of his favorite daytime shows, Family Feud.
He writes: "Why did KRBC dump Family Feud in favor of The Doctors?"
"I'd also like to see the new Deal or no Deal and Trivial Pursuit."
Well, Craig, there's a number of reasons.
First, of course, is the popularity of The Doctors.
New year's ratings showed first run newcomers making some significant gains; among them was The Doctors, but this decision may be more about logistics than anything else.
The Doctors is an hour show, whereas Family Feud is just half an hour, and since you can't replace a half hour show with one that's twice that long, Family Feud and The Insider had to go.
Sean wrote to say that he wants us to keep up the good work.
He says, "Cable news is too biased and Abilene TV stations preach the news, but KRBC is like having a convention in your living room."
I hope that's a compliment Sean, but when you consider that the average convention in this country is a conglomeration of long, boring speeches, broken up by moments of unscripted, off the cuff behavior where half the people you see end up winners and the other half losers; well, i guess it could be worse.
All kidding aside, thanks for the compliment, Sean, and we hope you'll keep watching.
