Texas Lottery To End Some Games

The Texas Lottery Commission has announced it will end several scratch-off games next month due to low sales. Among those games include the $130 Million Spectacular and the $130 Million Payout Bonanza that retail for $50. The games will be discontinued even though several of the top prizes are still up for grabs. Lottery officials say the two tickets are not selling well in a troubled economy and are taking up valuable shelf space. The Commission reported last years state lottery revenues were down about $45.1 million dollars. The Commission does plan to offer larger prizes on the lower-price point scratch-offs in hopes of increasing sales.
