Teresa Williams has been teaching first grade students  for 27 years, and all those years at Austin Elementary.

Williams says she always wanted to work with younger children and that from a young age she knew she wanted to be a teacher.

"As long as I can remember, I've always wanted to be a teacher. I started when I was two years old pretending I was a teacher and as I went through school there were teachers that really influenced my life, and I knew that is what I wanted to do, to work with children."

Her students say Williams is a lot of fun and they enjoy her class."It's fun, we get to do a lot of games and stuff and Ms. Williams is a really good teacher, " said Caleb Queen, first grade student.

William's explains what her favorite part of teaching is, "just seeing the joy in the kid's eyes when learning something new and their questions they ask, wanting to know more. Basically, everything there is!"

Congratulations to Teresa Williams, First Grade Teacher at Austin Elementary!!
