White Tiger Moving to Abilene

By: Sam Nichols
Updated: January 22, 2009
Plans are underway at the Abilene Zoo to make room for a new feature attraction.  A rare, white Bengal tiger named Havar will be moving to Abilene next month.

Havar is an eight year old male who has been at Busch Gardens in Tampa Florida.  White tigers are very rare, and Abilene Zoo officials are expecting this new exhibit to be a very popular one at the Abilene Zoo.

Havar will be housed in the far northwest corner of the Zoo, near the Lion Exhibit and the Giraffe bridge.

The White Tiger Exhibit is just one of several new projects planned this year for the Abilene Zoo.
