Despite the efforts of several fire departments, some homes could not be saved. For others..they will have a place to go back to once the flames are out.

People watched on the corner of County Road 335 and 345 watched as the flames got closer to their property and closer to their homes. All had plenty of warning and were able to leave, but with their homes out of sight, they could only wonder was their home saved.

The flames got closer and closer some could not watch any longer.

Many we spoke with on the scene learned the good news that their homes had been spared.

Unconfirmed reports say at three to four homes in this area were burned down.
