With the fire blazing through Jones County yesterday, one resident from Nugent lost everything she had, and now in the aftermath is left with nothing.

Billie Galloway lost over 20 years of belongings when her house caught fire around 3 o'clock in Nugent. She had no idea her house was on fire because officials blocked off the road until about 9 o'clock last night. Today Galloway reflects on the fire that destroyed everything.

"Well, it's pretty bad because 20 years of memories in this house," Galloway said, "[we] lost everything. I was surprised really that we found anything. I found some of the ceramic cats that my grandchildren have been buying me over the years I was collecting. That made me feel good."

Billie did say that the friend and family support has been great, and she does plan to rebuild on the land in the future.
