Dangerous Dogs and Female Anchors

In this week's "dish it to downing", a viewer sounds off on dangerous dogs and complaints about news anchors.

Dogs come in all sizes, shapes, and temperaments.

A KRBC viewer voiced his concerns about the story last Friday about an attack by two pit bulls on several head of livestock; one of which was killed.

He writes, "I am so tired of hearing of people and other dogs being attacked and killed while being on their own property."

"It's as if pit bulls have more rights than people."

"These dogs should be outlawed. "

We'll take the chance that City Councils and State Legislatures have addressed the issue in the appropriate place: with the dog owners.

Lillian's Law holds a dog owner liable if his pet attacks another person or animal.

It got its first test last year in the mauling death of a 7-year-old Breckenridge boy.

The solution to your problem isn't outlawing dogs, it's holding owners more responsible.

Bill, has a problem with the delivery style of our female announcers.

"The men personalities of your station routinely have good voice quality, but the same cannot be said for the women."

Well, you have to remember that Abilene is a beginning market for broadcasters, so it's really not fare to compare them to say, CNBC's Margaret Brennan.
