A dramatic development in the caylee anthony murder case. Casey's father George Anthony went missing for sometime. During that time he reportedly sent his family some alarming text messages. Authorities say he was discovered in a motel room writing a long suicide note.
It was clear George Anthony was under intense pressure after his 2 year old granddaughter was killed and his 22 year old daughter accused of her murder. A family attorney says 57 year old Anthony cracked early friday morning. Last night Anthony was pushed to the brink of what would might have been another tragedy in this case. In a Daytona Beach motel, authorities say Anthony with a picture of his wife, daughter and granddaughter at his side, mixed a deadly cocktail of alcohol and prescription drugs. He then began a long suicide note and then sent text messages to family members saying his goodbyes The same detectives who arrested Casey followed the GPS on Anthony's cellphone and rescued him. George Anthony is now being held in a hospital's psychiatric ward. Casey is under her own observation in a solitary jail cell. On Friday, a social worker there told her of her father's apparent attempted suicide.
A community is already convicting the family after six months of relentless media attention.
