Salvation Army Kettles Now Year-Round

By: Katherine Lane
Updated: January 25, 2009
The giving spirit of Christmas may have expired, but the Salvation Army is doing everything it can to keep that spirit alive year round.

Golden Kettles, that are handed out to local businesses in the Big Country around the holidays, are used to collect money for those in need.

Now, some businesses are being asked if they would like to keep them around all year.

So far, one business has committed to keeping the kettles around.

If you are interested in keeping a kettle, contact the Abilene Salvation Army.
