"They're all invited to send a postcard because they love our country, they love Texas, they're very loyal citizens and they want to make sure that our country stays the great nation that it has always been," said Father Fred Nawarskas, with Holy Family Catholic Church.
The Freedom of Choice Act is a potential bill that could create a right to abortion the government could not limit.
"If this act is passed, it will do things such as force health insurance companies to cover abortions, and it will force doctors to perform abortions even if abortion is against their will," said George Salazar, a member of the congregation. "It will undo all the laws that currently exist that regulate abortion, so we feel like that is going to undo a lot of years of hard work that we've put into getting abortion regulated."
And this potential bill has raised quite a few concerns within the Holy Family Catholic Church community.
"It's a big concern," said Father Nawarskas. "Protecting all live from conception until natural death is a very important right guaranteed in the Bill of Rights."
But the meaning behind the campaign means more than opposing a bill or an act.
"Children will have the chance to be able to accomplish what they were made to be born for," said Vanessa Salazar, a member of the congregation. "Just having that chance is awesome."
