Watch for 3D Super Bowl Commercial

For the first time in Super Bowl history, viewers can watch a lineup of advertisements in 3-D.

According to NBC's website, the network will air its first ever all-3D commercial break running in next Sunday's Super Bowl 43.  There will be a 90-second promotion for the new 3-D movie 'Monsters vs, Aliens' also sponsored by Pepsi and Intel.  It is slated to run just before halftime.

You will need special polarized glasses to watch it.  The old blue and red glasses won't work.  According to the Monsters vs. Aliens website, glasses are available for free at Pepsi/Sobe Life Water displays at various retailers.  K-Mart, Target, CVS and Dollar General are listed.

NBC's 'Chuck' will also air in 3-D on Monday, Feb. 2.

The annual football extravaganza is known for airing particularly quirky commercials during the breaks.

Ad slots are reported to cost around $3 million for 30 seconds during this year's Arizona Cardinals-Pittsburgh Steelers matchup.
