Driving Safe in Icy Conditions

We've seen some bad accidents due to winter weather and icy road conditions earlier this month, and we could be facing them again soon.
We've heard the winter weather forecast from, and tonight and tomorrow could be a dangerous time to be on the road.
Earlier, I spoke with a local driving school about different ways for drivers to stay safe when driving on those icy conditions.
Obviously speed is number one.
By driving at a much slower speed, you're allowing yourself more time to react if you find yourself in a slippery situation.
Here's something many people don't think of when they find themselves skidding on ice; you should actually turn the steering wheel in the opposite direction of the skid, going the original way you planned.
You are advised to slowly turn the wheel and press on the breaks.
Something else that drivers can do to prevent accidents is to keep their high beams off, sticking to the low beams.
That won't blind other drivers on the road sending them off.
Be careful out there on the roads.
