Governor Rick Perry will deliver his State of the State address today.
He will be discussing fiscal responsibility during these difficult economic times.
Perry's priorities continue to be the budget, economy, education, and border security. He will request the legislature to make more small businesses exempt from the state's new business tax on gross margins. He wants more money for border protection and solutions to rising tuition expenses.
During most of his eight years in office, his recommendations to lawmakers have fallen on deaf ears. Today's address will probably include his proposed budget.
