Avoiding Accidents in Icy Conditions

 State officials are advising drivers to avoid getting out on the road altogether.

Just take a note from those who lost the battle against the icy roads today.

No doubt you've heard it by now; that drivers are much better off not driving at all in these conditions, and the number of crashes today proves that.

Highway patrolmen said earlier this afternoon, they had already seen about ten times the amount of vehicle crashes than normal.

Police say many people default to cruise control on icy days to maintain a steady speed, but they're actually more likely to lose control while cruising.

Staying in is the best option, unless you must brave the slick roadways.
