Free Tax Returns in Abilene

Tax filing can be a daunting task after a tough economic year, and the A.A.R.P. is looking to alleviate some of that stress on taxpayers.

Volunteers set up in the Mall of Abilene across from El Chico. They will offer the free tax service through April 15 for those with low income and senior citizens. This is the 14th year for the A.A.R.P. to offer the free tax service in Abilene.

The service is available 6 days a week:

Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday - Mall of Abilene
Wednesday and Thursday - Abilene Public Library, Downtown Branch

Taxpayers do not have to be members of A.A.R.P. to apply for the free tax service. For more information go to www.aarp.org/taxaide.
