Wal-Mart to Get Car Wash

By: Brittany Pelletz
Updated: February 2, 2009
Wal-Mart wants to welcome a new car wash on it's property.

The Abilene Planning and Zoning Commission has given the go-ahead for the I-20 Wal-Mart location to follow the trend of other Wal-Marts around the country.  The commission revised an ordinance that previously prevented car washes from standing alone.

Once City Council approves it, the automatic car wash is expected to go up adjacent to Murphy's Oil within three months.
